Dear David,

Our Visa was filed on April 21, received letter from USCIS that they had received it on May 6. I
signed up on USCIS web site to track progress. Usually only told me "was being processed".

About Aug 10, I received I-797, "Notice of Action", this is in fact the approval letter, with a notice
date of Aug 6. A few days later I received a letter from the National Visa Center, dated Aug 13. It
stated that they had received an approved I-129F, and that they would be forwarding the petition
to the embassy in Manila to schedule an appointment. It also contained our "case number", which
is important to remember.

It also stated that she would soon receive a packet with instructions, we learned that this is no
longer true. On Aug 21, she received a letter from US Embassy in Manila, it stated that our case
was eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview.

This is where changes are taking place in an effort to automate things. The letter contained two
phone numbers, one from Philippines, other from US, to call to set up an interview. No more
packets!!  When you call they will set up date for interview, they gave us a choice of any time over
the next six weeks. The letter also contained a web site (
very important), to prepare documents
for interview, the site
http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html.

Many things need to be accomplished before the interview. A document verification fee must be
paid at any Metro Bank, you will actually make a deposit in an account for the Delbros company.

Then a visa fee will be paid at BPI, or Citibank. These need to be paid a couple weeks
BEFORE
interview. The BPI will "stamp" a form DS-157, which will indicate the fee has been paid. At the
above website you will be able to download DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-157 (very important).

The medical has to be accomplished 1 week BEFORE interview. We went to Manila on Oct 6, she
went to St Lukes early (5:30AM) on Oct 7.  As I said before she spent 12 hours at St Lukes that
day, and 6 hours the next, waiting for results. On Oct 9 she traveled to Quezon City to attend CFO
seminar
(also required). On Oct 14 she and I arrived at Embassy for our 7AM appointment at about
5:30AM. This day was not really too bad, as long as
ALL DOCUMENTS ARE COMPLETE!!!

They let me accompany her in all steps except actually talking to American consul, she went into
a closed room, in which they said I could not go, haha.

After interview is complete, you will pay another Delbros delivery fee, and the passport with visa
stamped was delivered to our front door on Oct 22.

There will also be a large yellow envelope with passport,
DO NOT OPEN!!  This will be handed
to Customs Officer at port of entry in U.S. You can take passport out of plastic envelope, but do
not touch yellow envelope.

Also, after calling Embassy to set up appointment, they will email the Fiancee' an appointment
letter,
important to print this letter, cannot enter St Lukes, or Embassy without this printed
letter!

Hope this helps, and good luck!!!!
