If the callers are outside Manila, they can get Sun Cellular (the third largest cell company in the Philippines) and they call directly the sun cellular number we assign to the Pinoyphone. So when they call the assigned number, then Pinoyphone will ring. They can talk 24 x 7 unlimited. For sun cellular, they can get post paid (up to 3 cellular phones free) with a plan 24 x 7. It means they can call any sun cellular number 24 x 7. They can also get prepaid. For prepaid, they can load 24 x 7 for a week (P150) or for a month (P400). Any sun cellular plan (post paid or prepaid) can also call any other sun cellular subscriber in the philippines (not only the Pinoyphone) How does it compare to SKYPE? In SKYPE or yahoo messenger, the many user has to have a computer and Internet connection. If the person has these two, they maybe well off to continue using that platform. Its free and manageable. If the person in Manila has no computer and or Internet, it may be worthwhile getting into Pinoyphone since all they need is any regular land line or if not available, a Sun cellular with 24 x 7. Then they can talk as much as they want 24 x 7. Note that this is a free one way system. The Manila can call free 24 x 7 but Pinoyphone can call with outgoing call charge which is 13 cents per minute to a land line and 15 cents a minute to a mobile. It is cheaper than using SKYPE out. |
